Kathy Ryde was born and bred in this beautiful part of the world and Denmark is very proud to call this lovely young lady their own.  Kathy was taught under the tutelage of Pat Horseman in the early 90’s. It didn’t take long before she commenced exhibiting with other artists and some 10 years later she continues to explore areas outside traditional boundaries.  Kathy also taught at the Denmark TAFE College for some time and now works from her own studio where she is exploring and integrating crystalline glazes in works. Kathy is a very gifted and talented ceramic artist and a mother of two beautiful children, Brooke and James. 
Kathy balances her busy day between both these passions. We feel very privileged as Kathy has kindly agreed to create some unique pieces to display and sell from our Gallery. Her work is Decorative, Sculptural and functional and she has an extraordinary way of blending the contemporary with traditional class. Words cannot express just how wonderful her works are; you will just have to make time to visit us and see for yourself.
